Panicos Nicolaides

Panicos Nicolaides is the Managing Director of the firm Nicolaides and Associates. He holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. He has over 31 years of working experience in the Civil/Environmental Engineering field and especially in the design and implementation of major works contracts in the water/wastewater and environmental sector, out of which five in the United States. During his working experience in the United States he successfully completed the requirements for the Professional Engineer licensing for the state of New York (1992). He has rich experience in the preparation of environmental impact assessments, environmental management plans, design studies, technical specifications and tender documents and in the construction supervision for sewerage and storm water networks, pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants and effluent reuse networks. He has been actively involved in the preparation of environmental engineering studies and in the environmental monitoring for numerous projects in the water and wastewater sector, the energy sector and the hydrocarbon industry.

He is fully familiar with the use of EC Practical Guide, the FIDIC Conditions of Contract and international engineering practice and standards. He has provided his services from different positions including Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Senior Civil Engineer and Senior Environmental Engineer. He is a registered Civil Engineer – Member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus, a registered Consultant of the Cyprus Institute of Technology, member of the Environmental Engineers Committee of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK) and member of the Cyprus Association of Environmental Scientists and Engineers.

Rena Xanthou – Mouskalli

Rena Xanthou – Mouskalli holds a Master of Engineering Degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering. She was recruited by the Company in 1998 and currently holds the position of the Director of Operations, with over 22 years of working experience. She has a substantial proven input in the overall project management and coordination of major projects in study, design and implementation stages as well as managing multidisciplinary teams.

In her function as an Environmental Engineering Expert, she has carried out of large number of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAS’s) for water supply and sanitation projects, flood protection, irrigation, drainage, highways, marina developments, desalination plants, land reclamation, waste disposal, air pollution control systems, renewable energy projects and other infrastructure developments. In the recent years she holds an active role as a Project Manager in the environmental permitting for projects related to the hydrocarbon industry (ESHIA, EBS, SBS, Stakeholder Engagements, Auditing and Reporting, Offshore Protocol Applications). Fully familiar and constantly updated with the new EU and National Environmental Directives, Policies and Legislation.

She is a registered Civil Engineer – Member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK) and a member of the Cyprus Association of Environmental Engineers & Scientists.

Nicholas Nicolaides

Nicholas Nicolaides has over 8 years of combined experience as a Civil Engineer, Environmental Engineer and as a Maritime Engineer in Cyprus and in the United Kingdom. He holds a degree with integrated Master in Civil Engineering from the University of Brighton and an Msc in Engineering Fluid Mechanics for Offshore, Coastal and Built Environment from Imperial College of London. Nicholas has worked in the design and implementation of major works in the civil and environment sector including, water, wastewater and infrastructure. He has also worked in London as a Maritime engineer and was involved in various projects relating to coastal and nearshore engineering. Nicholas has experience in all project phases. He has also been actively involved in:

Preparation of various design studies such as coastal, environmental, structural and geotechnical;
Preparation of technical specifications, and tender documents for large scale developments;
Construction supervision and inspection of large scale public and private infrastructure projects such as marinas, walkway berths, breakwaters industrial ports, wastewater treatment plants, rehabilitation of landfills, sewerage networks and residential developments;

In addition, he was directly involved in the preparation of detailed design studies relating to waste water treatment plants, pumping stations, sewage networks, wastewater treatment plants, large storage lagoons. Moreover, he has carried out studies related to hydrodynamics, sediment transport, odour emissions and noise studies.
