Environmental Permit

According to the Cypriot Policies, Laws, and Regulations, you may need an environmental permit if an activity is causing any form of pollution to the air, water, or land. You would be breaking the law if you operate without a permit and is a requirement that the facility should be granted the appropriate permit.
Our company has multi-year experience in providing consulting services relating to the preparation, submission, and support until a decision is made on the following environmental permit applications:

Industrial Emission Permit (IED)

Facilities involved with activities described in Article 81, Annex IV and Part 1 of Annex V of the Law of Industrial Emissions N.184(I)/2013 and Ν.131(Ι)/2016 are required to obtain an Industrial Emission Permit before any operation activities begin. The activities that require an Industrial Emission Permit are generally involved the following:
• Energy sector.
• The production and processing of metals.
• Mineral industries.
• Chemical industries.
• Waste management facilities.
• Livestock facilities.
Additional facilities that require an IED according to the Law, are plants related to the combustion, incineration and co-incineration industry, plants that use organic solvents as well as facilities that produce titanium dioxide.

Waste Management Permit (WMP)

Facilities involved with activities described in Annex I and Annex II of the Law of Waste disposal N.195(I)/2011 are required to obtain a Waste Management Permit from the Competent Authorities.

Mining Waste Facility Permit (MWFP)

According to the Waste Management of the Mining Industry Law N. 82 (I)/2009, the operation of an extractive waste facility is prohibited, unless the entity holds a mining a valid waste facility license.

Waste Disposal Permit (WDP)

As per Article 16 of the Water Pollution Control Law N. 106 (I) / 2002, the operation of any facility which causes or may cause pollution to the water or soil is prohibited, unless the operator of the facility holds a valid waste disposal permit.
