Coastal Studies
Through our professional experience, we provide break-through solutions to provide protection to the coastline where required and we carry out detailed design for the construction of such solutions. We carry out design studies for various coastal structures, such us piers, berths, seawalls, gabion walls, submerged pipeline networks and generally structures related to the marine sector.
In addition, through state-of-the-art softwares we can predict various coastal processes and carry out coastal studies. Examples of such processes are:
- Mean and maximum wave conditions.
- Sediment transport.
- Bed level change rates.
- Characteristics of wave currents.
- Dredging and bed level disruptions and transport.
In addition, to populate or/and verify our coastal studies we perform the following tasks:
- Work search on the history of change and current conditions of the coastline.
- Work search on climate, wind and wave conditions.
- Carrying out statistical models to derive the mean wave conditions.
- Carry out onsite bathymetry and topographical surveys.
- On-site photographical survey.
- Sediment investigations to obtain the sediment characteristics.
